Books by Dr. Errol Samuels
Is an autobiography detailing a Jamaican immigrant's life as one of the earliest arrivals of the Windrush generation in the UK
"The Triangle Route: The Extraordinary Journey of an Ordinary Man" from Audiobook Network author Dr. E.A. Samuels, one of the earliest of the Windrush Generation.
The Triangle Route - The Extraordinary Journey of an Ordinary Man - reflects on the first 27 years of the author’s life, in which he travelled extensively between his native Jamaica, the United Kingdom, and the USA.
As a six-year-old he travelled to the United Kingdom with his mother to join his father, being one of the earliest of the Windrush generation, a group around which much controversy has swirled. The book details experiences of life in England at that time, through a child’s eyes, sharing stories about encounters with other families that migrated to Britain to help rebuild the country devastated by Nazi Germany during world war two.
It also details his eventual return to Jamaica to be raised by his grandmother, and the heartache he endured in not being with his parents. With the growing pain of adolescence behind him, the author entered college in the USA determined to work his way through, without any means of financial support. His resolve to succeed, enabled him to complete his course of studies successfully and to launch a successful corporate career upon his return to Jamaica.
The Triangle Route contains many anecdotes, about growing up in Jamaica in the 50’s and 60’s, many of them humorous, a few heart rending. Interwoven among these are observations on a wide range of subjects, from mento, ska and reggae music to Jamaican food and family life.

Terrorism - A Paradigm Shift in Corporate Risk Management - provides corporate and other private sector leaders and managers with the core competencies needed to address and manage the risk of terrorist activity aimed at dismantling property and taking human lives.
Its premise is that the private sector is unprepared in managing the risk of terrorist activity and this can be borne out by the on-going attacks leading to loss of lives in the USA and elsewhere.
The Federal government’s 9/11 commission report on findings related to the 9/11 terrorist attack bemoaned the alarming weakness of the private sector’s readiness for managing this type of risk. Private sector leadership’s effective response to terrorism is critical if business is to maintain expansionary trends, and society is to administer its affairs without the burden of terrorist-driven uncertainty.
The book shares with readers a nine-point terrorist preparedness model consisting of nine key strategies best suited for managing terrorist risk. It provides guidance for leaders grappling with this area of uncertainty as it fosters the development of resilience modalities and encourages the creation of a corporate culture of terrorism awareness.
Interspersed throughout the book is information on risk management modalities, a history of terrorism and leadership initiatives suitable for managing in times of crisis. The book will act as a handy point of reference for corporate executives in charge of security as well as organizational leaders confronted with this area of risk.
